Mercia CC Lloyds Cycles Bulletin 21/02/23
good evening all
The fund raising quiz for the defribulater fund is this Thursday at the Riverside at 7.30
The 100k and 50k rides for the fund are this Sunday, sign on from 9.30 at the Henhurst Club. The 100 goes south to Twycross and back to the club and the 50 goes west through the Ridwares and back. £5 to ride with cake and a drink at the finish with proceeds going to the fund.
With regard to payment of membership subs I have checked the service offered by British Cycling. They require full contact details of each member and make a charge of £1 per member . As less than 10% of our members are BC members and we can accept bank payments direct to us with no cost to the member it has been decided not to change at this time.
The subs are £20 if riding time trials and £10 if not, the differential is to cover the costs of promoting the events. If members wish to change this it can be suggested by a motion at the next AGM. Payment can be made in cash on Sunday or direct to the club’s bank account which is Natwest , sort code 52.10.35, account no 04623282. If paying by bank direct please show a name with the payment.
I am in the process of completing the police paperwork for the club events first of which is scheduled for 28th March at 7pm.
It will be a 10 if light allows and a 5 if gloomy at Anslow or Sudbury if there is a road closure.
The South Pennine are running more events at Sudbury this year on Thursday evenings and I will try to obtain a list and provide this with the list of our events.
I am considering running our 25 at Sudbury but on an evening in late June and would appreciate any thoughts about this suggestion.
Regards
