Hi everybody

Unfortunately our 25 champs had to be abandoned last night as midway through the event  the road crew decided to spray tarmac on the course and close the road which left anyone living at the lower end of Shobnall Road in some difficulty to get home!

I have received agreement from Cycling Time trials to hold the event on the Sudbury course on Sunday September 4th with a 9am start. Most of that course has been recently resurfaced and it should produce significantly faster times than the Anslow course. On the day we can offer times for 5 and 10 miles if the 25 is too daunting. This should provide an opportunity for anyone who rides the Anslow course to obtain a personal best and September mornings can be calm and fast.

Put the date in your diary – if not riding the  event worth rerouting your Sunday ride to be at at finish around 10.30 as there is an excellent café just down the road in the Sudbury courtyard.

To help you get in shape for the 25 there some 10 and 5 mile events through August and there is a handicap trophy in the 25. Don’t worry if you have no 25 time, our experienced handicapper will be able to calculate your time based on any 5 or 10 mile times.
