Mercia Report 13-12-2015
The Mercia Lloyd’s Cycling Club held it’s 49th Annual General Meeting at the Henhurst Hill Social Club. The membership was now at 75 members. The evening time trials had again been well supported on the Anslow Circuit, but not the ones at Yoxall. The Sunday club runs are again well supported except in extreme weather conditions. They are split into 3 groups depending on fitness and ability, starting at 9:15 hours at Burton Town Hall on a Sunday. New members are recommended to start with the social group. The club organised 4 Open time trials and 2 Reliability Trials. A Notts & Derby Cyclo Cross League event had been held next to the Swadlincote Ski centre again, organised jointly by the Mercia C C & South Pennine RC. There was a Touring Weekend in the Cotswold’s.
Visits had been made to the New Velodrome in Derby for track racing. Road racing members had ridden at Mallory Park, Darley Moor and Curborough Racing Circuits. Turbo Training was again held at Queen Street Neighbourhood Resource Centre on Wednesday Evenings.
Club subscriptions were increased to £20 for Seniors £10 for Juniors, Second claim members and Social Members.£1 for Juveniles under 16.

Committee Members Ken Goy, Adrian Waters, Gary Chamberlain, Roger Owen, Clive Walker, Terry Knight, Wally Pasley and Robert Mangham.
