Reminder – Annual General Meeting : 8PM Wednesday February

Members are invited to the AGM at 8pm on Wednesday 8th February at the Henhurst Club. The meeting will receive a report of the Club’s activities in 2016 and there will be an election of Club officers for 2017.

Anyone considering standing for election should appreciate that as far as racing events are concerned these are arranged in advance. Any open or club event to be run in 2017 has to have a date application submitted to the governing bodies by the end of November 2016. As you will appreciate all 2017 events have already been planned and the dates of the open events are in the printed handbooks but please do not be put off by this. Come on board and help the club’s team  and get involved in the planning of the events for 2018.

2017 will be  a busy year for the Mercia Lloyds CC. The Tuesday evening club events will commence on 28th March and continue until the end of August. Additionally, we are running the three BDCA open time trial over 30,50 and 100 miles.

For new members, the Burton and District Cycling Association is an old established group of local clubs. In the events arranged by the BDCA preference of entry is given to members of member clubs such as ourselves. The course used is a potentially fast one and this means that the slower riders are able to obtain a ride on a fast course in these Association events.
