Sad News
With great sorrow I have to advise you that a local rider, John Stewart, was fatally injured competing in the South Pennine club 10 last Thursday evening. John was Chairman of the South Pennine and well known locally as a competitor, official,organiser,clubman and generally a good guy. On behalf of the Mercia I wish to extend our condolences to his family at this time.
In view of this incident the BDCA 30 planned for next Saturday has been cancelled but thank you for all those that had volunteered to help.
The BDCA 50 and 100 will be held later in the year and I will be asking for helpers nearer the dates.
