On Sunday 24th July a group of Mercia riders set off to tackle Holme Moss, 524m above sea level. The ride was organised by Kieron Patteson so you know its not going to be flat! We covered around 70 miles through the beautiful Peak District setting off from Tideswell. We had a very welcomed surprise towards the top of Holme Moss, the Heath family had come out to cheer us on and bring some much needed supplies. A fantastic day was had by all and we'd all like to thank Kieron for the fantastic day out and the Heath family the support! All photos are courtesy of Caroline Heath. If anyone has any more photos then please let me know.

Mallorca 2012
18 riders made up of Mercia CC members and local riders enjoyed a fantastic week in Majorca. The weather was hot and sunny and allowed for short sleeve jerseys and shorts all week. We tackled all the major climbs the island had to offer and sampled the cafes too! Some of the climbs were 5 to 9km long which meant a test for all of us, no matter what our ability. We raced each other and the odd foreign cyclist too. We had some cracking rides and most riders rode nearly 500 miles during the week. Below is a sample of what we got up to.
